There are lots of great things about working at a magazine, but one of my favorites has to be the fact that sequins are acceptable office wear. Enter this skirt, which combines two of my favorite things: bling and the color gold. Here, I paired it with a plain black tee and some muted metallic accessories, and it went nicely from a day of beauty events and meetings to my friend Ashley’s party later that night. And because I had a lot of shine going on in the outfit, I kept my makeup simple with subtle neutral shadow and berry lipgloss tapped on lightly to sheer it out.

Wow, I love everything about this outfit, right down to the necklace! (Forever 21?!?! Wow! I really need to give that place another chance. I just feel like nothing ever catches my eye or fits me when I'm there, but then I see all these beautiful, fashionable people -- like you -- wearing stuff from there. I obviously need someone to go in with me and pick stuff out!) I also love sequins. My friends say I'm like a crow (always gravitating toward anything shiny).
You are so sweet-thank you! Seriously, Forever 21 has some really great jewelry! I didn't believe it either until I checked it out. I get SO many compliments when I wear this necklace and it was like 4 bucks!
Your blog is such fun!
