Now, believe me: I am no fan of snow. But even I can admit that there's just something about the first snow. Well, this weekend it arrived, and it inspired me to break out my new Sorel boots for the first time (verdict: I love them--so warm and sooo comfy), throw on a little faux fur, and play around with a Snow-White-inspired makeup look. For me, that meant rosy cheeks, white shadow, and cherry-red gloss. (I'm not a red-lips person, but I adore this see-through shade--so not scary.). The other key aspect of the Snow White look (a ghostly pale complexion) came naturally to me, of course...!
And, um, what do you think of the plaid nails?? They're part of the upcoming Avril Lavigne for Sally Hansen Salon Effects collection, and though they're not going to be available until April (patience!), I couldn't resist giving you a glimpse. (Some of my fellow beauty editors and I were lucky enough to meet with Avril a few days back to get a sneak peek at the collection, and let me tell you, it's great! SO fun--you're going to love it.)

I love your nails, they look fantastic and what a good idea to shoot products in the snow! Not envious of the weather you have in New York at the moment though, I'm quite happy that I am not having to deal with it here in London at the moment!

Snow-White and Rose-Red are in the small hut by Woods with their mother, a poor widow, two little girls. Rose-Red bears the ice, and they quickly become very friendly with him.
