Oh, Mai Tai, I miss you

If you follow me on Instagram, you're probably well aware that I recently got back from a week in Maui.  (I'm guessing my endless feed of tropical-drink, bikini-, and palm-tree shots likely clued you in, no?) Well, here are a few photos we snapped one night at our hotel before heading out to dinner. This charcoal gray maxi dress is a new favorite--I've been living in it this summer so far. It's beyond comfy, can be dressed up or down, and it costs (are you sitting down?) only $65! (It comes in something like 17 other colors, so I'm definitely stocking up.) This summery clutch was another pre-Hawaii buy that I've since become obsessed with. It's such a fun twist on that classic vacation essential, the straw bag--plus, it holds a ton!


(The scenery: For this part of our trip, we stayed at a hotel in Hana called Travaasa. I'm a total scaredy cat, so the windy, precarious drive to the hotel on the famed Road to Hana was tough for me, but it was worth it in the end. The gorgeous locale is pretty hard to beat, huh?)

P.P.S: I'd love to perpetuate the illusion that this is how my hair naturally dries after a day by the ocean, but it's so, so not. This is a day at the beach + a one-inch curling iron + this sweet-smelling Suave hairspray. So, there you have it.
